Through careful rehabilitation of our estates, investment in modern pulping facilities, and training for local farmers, we ensure every lot reflects consistency, traceability, and excellence.
Wahgi Mek Plantations Limited is a coffee company based in the fertile Waghi Valley, Papua New Guinea. Established in 1976, it became one of the country’s leading coffee exporters and is now being revived after two decades of dormancy.
The company ceased operations due to management challenges and unresolved landowner disputes. These issues left many plantations dormant until its re-registration in 2025.
With support from the Jiwaka Provincial Government, local leaders, and national stakeholders, WMPL has re-registered with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA). Rehabilitation of plantations, restoration of pulpers, and farmer training programs are now underway.
Our coffee is grown at 1,500–1,800 meters in the Waghi Valley, producing specialty-grade beans with rich flavor complexity, high cupping scores, and full traceability for international buyers.
